I never turn down a solo guitar gig - I find them a great way to practice and meet people while getting paid!  This is from a recent gig.  You can't see them, but I have a couple lap steels behind me that I played at this gig, as well a a classical.  Solo gigs force you to learn your tunes as there is no one to hide behind.
